Kong konversations were kareening through cyberspace today!

This morning I discovered Mary Doane’s video of Aaron Foster (on Facebook) contemplating his sister, Jane, nosing her Kong Wobbler. He seems genuinely perplexed yet tolerant of Jane’s inexplicable behavior. BTW, If you haven’t discovered Mary’s blog, Mary’s Dogs Blog, hop on over there. Mary writes straight from her heart to yours with honesty, and without sentimentality.

During the ensuing discussion, another blogging buddy, Roxanne Hawn, offered that she had posted a review of the Kong Wobbler today on her blog Champion of My Heart. Apparently, Lilly, like Sadie, is an avid Kong bonker. Lilly caved in the closet doors and turned on the stereo while bonking her Kong!

I totally get that.

I’ve be sitting on Sadie Bonks Kong Wobbler Double Time since last October. Even though I have lots to learn about video editing (one of my goals for 2011), I’m posting it anyway. The first few seconds are wholly without merit, and two minutes is too long. Still, you know what they say, don’t let “the perfect” be the enemy of “the more or less good ‘nuf.”

  1. Thanks for the mention … I guess it was Wobbler Wednesday. Love this video. We have some of Lilly too, but I didn’t have time to edit and all that. This is a hoot, sped up.

  2. Mary Doane says:

Wow! Sadie is a wicked KONG bonker! She takes the prize for sure! And, great video as well! Thank you, Deborah, for the mention. We had a wonderful time with our Wobbler for sure… especially Janie.

  3. KenzoHW says:

Fun to watch, Sadie is so excited !

  4. Edie says:

What fun! Love the music too. Hmmm… I wonder if Frankie would like it and food isn’t involved.

This video is fantastic! The music totally makes it a work of art. Video editing is on my list of things to learn for 2011 as well but it looks like you are far ahead of me already.

We don’t have the Wobbler, but the Nina O. “Pyramid”, which I thought was about the same. Perhaps not. Perhaps we need both after all.

  6. Oh my goodness…that Kong is ginormous! It puts Gus’s little Kong to shame!

Glad she had such a good time. Gus gives up and gets frustrated so easily. He will literally eat his cookie until it’s flush with the Kong and then proceed to sit there staring at us. Sigh…

And, yes. We will be in Colorado for approximately a week during our travels. We can’t wait…we love CO!

Actually it was great to see the Kong wobbler on a couple of different sites. I’ve been looking for a new food dispenser to give a rest to the Tug-a-Jug and keep Honey interested.

Roxanne’s review mentioned the wobbler potentially causing some damage in the paws of an excited dog but I’m not sure my house is that precious. If Honey hasn’t damaged anything with the Tug-a-Jug, I doubt the wobbler would do anything.

And I loved the action of the wobbler–it’s weebles for dogs!

    • Sadie hasn’t damaged anything and she’s pretty enthusiastic. But, then there’s not much for her to harm. What I’ve noticed is if she bonks the Kong too close the wall or a bookshelf she maneuvers it back into the room.

Great Vid, Thanks for sharing. Our dogs just love this toy! Kong really did a great job with this one.
