This is the third in our just up-and-running series: Adopt this Awesomely Adoptable Dog! The dogs are being cared for by the Humane Society of Boulder Valley (HSBV) until their forever families find them. That’s where you come in. Today I want to introduce you to lovely Lulu. Look at that mug! I love that her tongue and neckerchief are color coordinated. This dog has style.
Lulu is a spayed 3-year old Terrier/Pit Bull mix. Lulu is a wonderfully sweet dog who likes to cuddle. Cuddle! Is there anything better than cuddling up with your dog on the couch, sharing a little popcorn, and watching a movie? BTW, lucky for you, Lulu’s taste in film is eclectic, so you can watch whatever you like, just as long as you snuggle up with her and share your snacks.
Lulu is not only a movie fan, she loves cats. Well, she loves to chase cats. Apparently she has had some issues with chasing cats in a previous home, but she has shown no aggression to cats that she has met in the shelter. Still, the good people at HSBV believe that Lulu would do best in a home without cats. Her enthusiasm might overwhelm most of them. Kittys aside, Lulu loves people and other dogs! She sounds like she’d be a awesome companion.
Just because Lulu would enjoy snuggling on the couch with you doesn’t mean she’s a couch potato! No. No. No. Lulu has lots of energy and needs daily doses of serious exercise. Just like you do! She’s probably the next best thing to a trainer. With Lulu you gotta get out and hike and walk. Lulu’s previous guardian surrendered her to HSBV for rehoming because she didn’t feel she could meet Lulu’s exercise needs and, well, she had a cat.
